Oasis at Tuscaloosa
Pastor, Phillip Rinehart
Tuscaloosa is a melting pot of community and culture. The University of Alabama host over 30,000 students a year and other local colleges like Shelton State Community College and Stillman College are enjoying the benefits of such a diverse area. Add in a population of over 200,000, one would think it is easy to get lost in the crowd. Surprisingly, Tuscaloosa has a small town feel and has become a very pleasant place to live and raise a family. Tradition in sports, love of life, and community has always kept me and my family excited about being in Tuscaloosa.
It does not take long to figure out there are churches for every person, personality, perception, and personal preference. From denominational to non-denominational, there can be a perfect place for just about anyone. Why is Oasis a place for you?
Oasis at Tuscaloosa seeks to do ministry in a mission mind set. We seek out the lost, beat down heavy burdened and down trotted with an inspired vision from God to actually have members that are products of a life changing experience that come together to celebrate the true power and glory of Jesus Christ. We stand firm in our belief that there is only one true God. We believe the main ingredient left out in church today is the recognition that the Holy Spirit is real and He lives in us, and works through us. Our lives are constantly attacked from supernatural sources and we at Oasis recognize that, and teach the Bible in a relevant and life application process. We believe you not only should know all about God, but be able to apply that to your servant hood and become an effective “life changer” in your local community and neighborhood.
Come join us and celebrate your life changing experience. We would love to have you as our guest. Oasis is a place you can find rivers of love in a barren dessert of a harsh society.
